HYDERABAD: The Pakistan Army Hyderabad Garrison carried out a four-day relief work with provision of health assistance to the people of drought-hit areas of district Tharparkar.
According to an ISPR release issued here on Thursday, a total of 64 tons of relief goods, including flour, sugar, pulses and rice, were distributed among the drought-affected people of villages Gadro Chiran, Dhangana, Alanejo Wandayo, Berana of Nangarparkar and Spanjopar, Debhuri, Kankihay of Dali; Mithero Mehwar, Alanabad and Ronchey Jo Tar of Chahchro.
Besides, army’s medical and paramedical staff also conducted free medical camps where 2,153 patients were examined and treated for fever, cough, flue anemia, respiratory deficiency, acidity and skin diseases. Besides vaccination against measles and polio was also carried out among the children.
