Rawalpindi: Four personnel of the Muhafiz Squad have been suspended for misuse of power and corruption. A case has been registered against the accused police personnel for injuring a citizen and harassing his family.
City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi taking prompt action on complaint of a citizen suspended Ikramullah, Yasir Khan, Shan Ali and Saqlain deputed with Naseerabad Police Station.
On instructions of CPO Rawalpindi Muhammad Ahsan Younis, SSP investigation has been assigned to investigate the case.
Meanwhile, Morgah Police Station also arrested a policeman who use to threaten citizens by impersonating himself as staff of intelligence agency.
SHO Morgah Police Station stated that during preliminary investigation, the detainee culprit has confessed scores of crimes relating to robbery, purse snatching and molestation.Police also recovered motorcycle and weapons from accused, Umar Mubarak.
