According to Islamabad deputy commissioner Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat, the private clinics will function only after taking precautionary measures against coronavirus and following the standard operating procedure made by the government in light of the COVID-19 outbreak.

He also said outpatient departments in private hospitals of ICT were being allowed to resume operation. The DC, however, said strict compliance with SOPs was a must for such operation.
