Youth stabbed to death

karachi: A man was stabbed to death in the Gulshan-e-Maymar area on Sunday. According to police, the incident took place at the Janjal Goth in Gulshan-e-Maymar from where a young man with critical injuries was brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

He succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the hospital. He was later identified as 23-year-old Kamran, son of Hazrat Khan.

Police said the victim was a resident of Gulshan-e-Maymar. They added that the actual motive behind the incident was yet to be ascertained, however, it appeared to be the result of a personal enmity.

Minor boy, labourer die

A minor boy died on Sunday after he drowned in an underground water tank at a house located in Macchar Colony within the limits of the Mauripur police station. The family members, however, retrieved the body and transported it to the Civil Hospital Karachi. The boy has been identified as eight-year-old Muhammad, son of Riaz.

The family told police that the boy had gone missing on Sunday morning and the family members later found his drowning body in an underground water tank. They suspected that the boy might have fallen into the tank while playing in the house.

A labourer died after falling down from an under construction building within the limits of the Shah Latif police station. His body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for an autopsy where he was identified as Sabir, 40, son of Obaid Ali. Police said the man was working at an under construction multi-storey building when his feet slipped and he fell down onto the road and died on the spot.
