Rs1.9m fine imposed on fuelling stations

stations over less measuring gadgets during last month.

A month long campaign was launched and random checks were made to detect the short-selling of petrol and diesel following the directions of Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Aamer Ali Ahmed, Director Industries and Labour (ICT) Waqar Anwar told this agency.

He said inspection of the petrol pumps to check tampering in dispensing units and in terms of measurements would continue in upcoming month.

In response to a question, he said, actions over non-compliance of mandatory safety, security measures, Minimum Wage, Children Act and provision of basic facilities to the consumers at fuel stations are also being ensured.

The fuel stations included, Total petrol pump F-8, Total petrol pump Express Highway, PSO petrol pump G-9/4, PSO petrol pump G8, PSO petrol pump Melody, PSO petrol pump G-7, Shell petrol pump F-7, PSO Capri pump F-7, PSO Zoom pump F-6, Total petrol pump Bari Imam, Shell petrol pump club road, Attock petrol pump F-11, Sarmad filling station F-10, Shell petrol pump Rawal Dam chowk, Hescol petrol pump Lehtrar road, Shell petrol pump Aabpara, Attock petrol pump Lehtrar Road, Shell pump IJP road, PSO petrol pump I-10, Total petrol pump I-9,PSO pump Mehr Brothers, Attock petrol pump H-8, Shell pump I-8 and Shell pump at Alipur. Rs10,000 was fined to Aabpara tuck shop over Minimum Wage and Rs20,000 was fined to a Tyre shop at Lehtrar road.
