MULTAN: Punjab Minister for Energy Dr Akhtar Malik has said that the nation stands with the Pakistan armed forces. Talking to journalists here on Monday, the minister said that the Indian army chief’s statement against Pakistan was an effort to divert Indians' attention from internal chaos.
The protection of national integrity was the top most priority of the government, he added. The current situation needs to demonstrate more unity keeping in view of the situation in the Middle East and internal Indian anarchy, he continued.
The India wants to create anarchy and unrest in Pakistan but the Indian dream would not come true, the minister said. Millions of Indians were on roads against the most controversial Citizenship Bill, he continued.
The minister said that 2020 was a year of unity, economic growth and prosperity. The economic future of Pakistan lies in adopting alternate energy resources, he added.
He said that Punjab had allocated a land for the establishment of Energy Resource Centre while the solar and biogas projects for rural areas would be completed in March. The Punjab government was mainly focusing upon solar, wind and hydro energy projects, he informed.
The minister said that a common man was disturbed due to expensive electricity. The PML-N government had established highly costly projects on imported fuel when the whole world was concentrating upon alternate energy resources, he added.
