Late on Saturday night, the West district police killed a member of the banned Baloch Liberatio Army in an encounter in Baldia Town. SSP West Azfar Mahesar said on a tip-off, police raided a hideout in Ittehad Town. In the ensuing shootout, one criminal was killed while his companions escaped.
The official identified him as Shahnawaz, a member of the BLA presently working with the SherazComrade group of Lyari. He was wanted by police in target killing and extortion cases
