SUKKUR: Aseefa Bhutto Zardari along with her aunt Faryal Talpur on Friday visited Gharhi Khuda Bakhsh on the occasion of the 12th death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto. They offered Fateha and listened to the address of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on television.
Meanwhile, PPP leaders Safdar Abbasi and Naheed Khan Abbasi on Friday visited Gharhi Khuda Bakhsh, where they laid wreaths on the graves of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto and others on the occasion of the 12th death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto.
They also paid rich tributes to former prime ministers Zulfikar Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto.
Talking to media persons, they said Fatima Bhutto, daughter of Murtaza Bhutto, was an intellectual and if she wanted to launch political activities, then they had no concerns. They said PPP workers should come forward to get their party freed from the hijacking mafia and elect their leaders on merit to strengthen the party.
Abbasi said the PPP came into power just after the assassination of Benazir Bhutto but the party leadership did not show any interest to probe the matter and find out the actual culprits of the incident.
They said former president Asif Ali Zardari and PM Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani did not build Benazir Bhutto's monument in Rawalpindi or Islamabad to commemorate her martyrdom.
They said initially the-then PPP government had accepted the investigation report of UNSC team but later the government had rejected the UNSC team’s report.
