ISLAMABAD: FBR Chairman Tariq Bajwa on Monday praised recently retired board officers and said that they contributed a lot during their service in the tax machinery.
A meeting of the Board-in-Council was held on Monday in FBR House, Islamabad. The meeting was chaired by Tariq Bajwa, Chairman FBR and attended by Members of the Board.
In line with the new tradition introduced by the FBR chairman, following officers recently retired in BS-22 and BS-21 (in FBR HQ), were invited to this meeting to pay homage and to bid farewell to them by the Board-in-Council. The invited officers who had retired recently included Mrs. Fiza Muzaffar (IRS/BS-22), Mrs. Azra Mujtaba (IRS/BS-22), Abdul Rehman Dogar (IRS/BS-22) and Tariq Ahad Nawaz (PCS/BS-21).
The above officers, who were invited to the meeting on special invitation, shared their views and work experiences during their careers in and outside FBR. Members of FBR, in their individual remarks, hailed the services rendered by the retired officers and also shared their reminiscences of some pleasant memories while working together with the honorable retired officers. The FBR Chairman in his concluding remarks appreciated services of the above officers and reiterated that promotion of the three IRS officers to BS-22 speaks volumes of their hard work and commitment to the organisation.
The FBR chairman and all the Members highlighted the moral values practiced by all the four officers and unanimously praised the high level of integrity and honesty exhibited by them during their entire career.
The chairman emphasised that the retired officers with their enriched experience behind them must continue contributing to the society. He wished them all healthy and prosperous life in future. At the end, the FBR chairman presented souvenirs and flower bouquets to the outgoing offices.
