CM Murad Ali Shah asks ministers, advisers to resolve public issues at open kutcheries

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed all the provincial ministers, advisers and special assistants to hold open kutcheries all over Sindh on December 21, (Saturday) and solve public problems in the presence of officers concerned.

Through the chief secretary, he has also invited representatives of some of the federal government institutions such as Nadra, Hesco, Sepco and SSGCL to attend the open kutcheries. The provincial ministers, advisers and special assistants have been assigned districts where they would hold open kutcheries. The arrangements for the open kutcheries will be made by the deputy commissioners.

The ministers assigned the district for open kutchries are as follows: Minister for Health Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho, Mirpurkhas; Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Shah, Shaheed Benazirabad, Minister for Revenue Makhdoom Mahboob, Tando Mohammad Khan; Minister for Food, Hari Ram Badin; Minister for Agriculture Ismail Rahu, Larkana; Minister for PHED (Public Health Engineering Department) Shabir Bijarani Sujawal; Minister for Culture Sardar Shah, Matiari; Minister for Women Development Shehla Raza, Thatta; Minister for Excise Mukesh Chawala, Jamshoro; Minister for Energy Imtiaz Shaikh, Sukkur; Minister for Rehabilitation Faraz Dero, Ghotki; Minister for IT Taimur Talpur, Tando Allahyar; Minister for Transport Awais Qadir Shah, Shikarpur; Minister for Katchi Abadies Murtaza Baloch, Sanghar; Minister for Fisheries Bari Pitafi, Qambar-Shahdadkot; Minister for Industries Ikram Dharejo, Kashmore; Minister for Irrigation Sohail Siyal, Jacobabad; Senior Adviser on Works Nisar Khuhro, Khairpur; Adviser on Law Murtaza Wahab, Naushehro Feroze; Adviser on IPPC (Inter-Provincial Coordination) Aijaz Jakhrani, Tharparkar, Adviser on Social Welfare Aijaz Shirazi, Umerkot; and Special Assistant for Empowerment of Disabled Persons Qasim Naveed, Dadu.

The chief minister has directed all deputy commissioners to coordinate with the ministers, advisers and special assistants and simultaneously make arrangements for the open kutcheries. The secretaries of different departments and their senior officers would also attend the open kutcheries.

The open kutcheries would also be attended by SSPs, representatives of local bodies concerned and representatives of all the provincial departments to settle public grievances.

Balochistan CSChief Secretary Balochistan Capt (retd) Fazeel Asghar called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to discuss inter-provincial matters, including that of water distribution.

The chief minister said: “Balochistan is our second home as Sindh is the second home of our Balochi brothers and we will settle all our issues amicably.” He said the Sindh government would always uphold the rights of the people of Balochistan as the people of Balochistan would always reciprocate.

The chief secretary of Balochistan and Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah earlier held a separate meeting with the assistance of their respective teams to discuss all the outstanding issues between the two provinces.

In their meeting, they discussed water released to Balochistan from the Sukkur Barrage, an ongoing operation against outlaws along the border between Sindh and Balochistan and some matters related to the CCI (Council of Common Interests). The chief secretaries’ meeting with the chief minister was a followup.
