MoU signed for capacity building of schoolteachers

Islamabad : The Pakistan Bait-ul Mal (PBM) and American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence (ABCTE) signed a memorandum of understanding for the capacity building of PBM teachers of women empowerment centres and PBM schools for the rehabilitation of child labour.

PBM Managing Director Aon Abbas Buppi and Vice President Business Development ABCTE Iftikhar Qadar Khan signed the MoU in the presence of Federal Minister for Defence Production Zubaida Jalal.

Minister Zubaida Jalal appreciated the ABCTE for extending its partnership with PBM focusing the poorest of the poor.

She said the teacher training certification programme is an internationally recognized degree and will have an everlasting impact on the teacher’s abilities.

The minister admired the untiring efforts of the PBM managing director and said Under the dynamic & magnanimous leadership of Aon Abbas Buppi, PBM is materialising the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan for serving the deprived segments of the society.

She also emphasised the significance of public-private partnerships in solving social issues.

Addressing the ceremony, the managing director said the modern era demanded high-quality professional skills for which capacity building programmes have been now an integral part of PBM.

He said the PBM in collaboration with ABCTE is going to implement the great idea of teaching skill enhancement with contemporary online technology.
