A lion at the Karachi Zoological Gardens bit into the arm of 25-year-old zookeeper Kanoo on Monday as the man was trying to feed the wild animal inside its cage.
The zoo’s director, Kunwar Ayub, told The News that the incident took place between 4pm and 5pm. He said Kanoo was administered vaccination by a physician, adding that the zookeeper was fine and resting.
Ayub said the case was one of negligence, adding that all the staff members would be provided with adequate training to keep them safe from wild animals so that such an incident did not occur again.
