CDA fails to submit reply to IHC in housing society case

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority Friday failed to submit its reply to the Islamabad High Court how CDA land was given to PTI leader Aleem Khan Housing Society.

The chief justice of Islamabad High Court Justice, Athar Minallah, took up the hearing of petition against alleged handing over possession of the CDA land to the housing society owned by PTI leader Aleem Khan.

The CDA failed to submit inquiry report as chairman didn’t appear before the court.

During hearing, Justice Athar inquired how the CDA land was given to private people and how the private company is using this land?

To this, petitioner’s lawyers replied that the second party is highly influential. The second party is charged with occupying the land being influential.

The court again summoned the CDA chairman on next hearing and ordered CDA to submit its written reply and should also satisfy the court how the land was given. Later, the court adjourned the hearing till December 13.
