Rescue 1122 celebrates Volunteers Day

Rawalpindi :The Punjab Emergency Service, Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi celebrated International Volunteers Day upon the direction of District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122, Rawalpindi Dr Abdur Rahman to highlight the role of volunteers in communities. The focus this year is awareness and recognition for volunteers with commitment and hope to work for a better world.

In this regard Emergency Service, Rescue 1122, Rawalpindi holds an event at Central Rescue Station, Rawal Road, Rawalpindi. Emergency Officer Ali Hussain, Rescue and Safety Officer Azra Shahid, Rescuers and Rescue Scouts participated in this event.

Azra Shahid Akhter, Rescue & Safety Officer welcomed the participants on behalf of Emergency Service and briefed about the volunteerism, role of volunteer for safer communities and contribution of rescue volunteers. District Emergency Officer, Dr. Abdur Rehman briefed about Service and volunteerism.

The volunteers performed their skills which they learnt by the Rescue 1122 trainers and participated in event and walk to commemorate the International Volunteers Day. The volunteers have been presented appreciation certificates in recognition of their services and new volunteers have also been enrolled during the function.

In this regards Rescue 1122 also holds an event for COMSATS university Islamabad in which Officials of the Rescue 1122 demonstrate their Emergency Management skills to the participants of the event and highlight the importance of Volunteers role to build safer communicities and safe world.
