DIG Safe City reviews performance

Islamabad: In light of the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Islamabad police are taking every possible measure to ensure the safety and security of the citizens’ lives and property and to keep them safe from accidents, a public relations officer said.

He said that, a meeting was held under the supervision of DIG Safe City/Traffic at the Traffic Police Headquarters, where a comprehensive review of the steps taken to manage traffic throughout the city was conducted. DIG Safe City/Traffic directed to expedite the implementation of traffic laws at the federal capital and to further accelerate crackdowns against drivers involved in violations.

Therefore, as part of this initiative, new mobile phones equipped with modern technology were distributed to traffic officers to enhance the effectiveness of the e-challan system.
