McLeod Ganj SHO among 13 booked

OKARA: Haveli police on Wednesday booked thirteen policemen, including SHO McLeod Ganj police station, Bahawalnagar, under section 302 of the PPC.
On Wednesday morning, a team led by McLeod Ganj SHO Inspector Muhammad Akbar raided Sujekay village in the limits of Haveli police to nab a proclaimed offender, Nazeer Ahmad s/o Muhammad Sadiq. The PO, however, managed to escape from the spot, but his father died due to the alleged police coercion. Later, the villagers staged a demonstration against the raiding police team by placing the body in front of Haveli police station. The police shifted the body to the DHQ hospital for postmortem.
