LAHORE: Two persons were ‘electrocuted’ after receiving electric shocks from a live wire in the Haier police limits on Friday. Police have removed the bodies to morgue for autopsy and started probing the incident keeping in view different aspects. The victims have been identified as Azhar Mahmood, 45, a resident of Askari-10, and his 49-year old servant Bagh Ali. SHO Haier told this correspondent that Azhar Mahmood had a piece of land given by Pakistan Army to his father in Haier. On the day of incident, he reached his land on a bike along with his servant. As they reached near the tube-well, a hanging live wire touched Azhar and Bagh Ali. As a result, both received severe electric shocks and died on the spot. Police removed bodies to morgue for autopsy. Police also recorded statements of eyewitnesses. SHO said that apparently the victims had died due to electric shocks, but they would investigate it keeping in view all the aspects including murder.
