Chained man recovered from landlord’s custody

GUJRANWALA: Ladhewala Warraich police recovered a chained man from the custody of a landlord at Mado Khalil village on Sunday.
Police, on a tip-off, raided the dera of Asif Hameed and recovered Imtiaz, who was chained, from there. Imtiaz owed Rs 18,000 to Asif as balance payment of a buffalo that he had purchased sometime ago. Some days ago, Asif took Imtiaz to his dera and allegedly chained him to recover the amount. Police are investigating.
