Inspector General National Highways and Motorway Police Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema said honesty, courtesy, help and the implementation of law were the core values of this force.
He expressed these views while addressing the officers of Central Zone in a farewell Darbar held at DIG Office, Lahore. Zonal commander DIG Bashir Memon, SSP Inkasar Khan, SSP Ghulam Jafar, Sector Commander Abdul Khalil and a large number of officers and officials of motorway police were present.
Before the start of the proceedings, a special prayer was offered made for the martyrs of Peshawar carnage.
IG Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema said officers of Motorway Police were known for their core values of honesty, courtesy, help and rule. IG Zulfiqar Cheema took a solemn pledge from the officers that they would make NH&MP a best force of the world and would never let their good name be stained.
On this occasion, DIG Bashir Memon said IG Zulfiqar Ahmad practically implemented rule of law, improved transparency and made merit a principle in all the departments where he served. SSP Inkasar Khan said IG Zulfiqar Cheema had embossed basic values of NH&MP in the minds of the officers of this force and had considerably improved the syllabus of the training college and the field work.
