Police bust gang that abducted and sold children as sex slaves

Police conducted a raid in Manghopir on Wednesday and busted a gang involved in abducting children and selling them in Quetta as sex slaves.
Three children were freed from the gang’s captivity.
SSP West Azfar Mehshar said complaints had been received about a gang involved in abducting children in the area.
He directed his subordinates to use their intelligence network to trace the criminals and during the process, an informant tipped him off that the gang was based in the Frontier Colony, Manghopir.
He conducted a raid with his team near a shrine in Frontier Colony and after a shootout, arrested Abdul Ghani Rehman alias Yousuf, the gang leader, and his two associates, Shahbaz and Haider alias Sikander alias Bhola. Three children, who were kidnapped by the gang from different parts of the city, were found at the hideout.
Police found the three men in possession of two TT pistols, a repeater rifle, one kilogramme of hashish and tickets of coach.
The SSP said the three men were abducting children, transporting them to Quetta and selling them at the den of a man named Shani for the past many years. They sold each child for Rs40,000.
During interrogation, Ghani said he did not exactly know how many children he had abducted and sold. The abducted children were taken to Quetta by his agents Shahbaz and Haider who had ties with other gangs in Quetta.
Shahbaz was wanted by the Ferozabad police for the murder of a watchman near Jheel Park during a robbery.
He had also killed a man when he resisted mugging and a sex worker in Mehmoodabad. Haider, who is also a member of a Lyari-base gang, was wanted by the Mehmoodabad and Ferozabad police in murder and robbery cases.
