Sindh Minister for Health Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar on Monday arranged a hearing for doctors who had remained absent from their duties.
He had summoned 35 doctors to appear before him. Only seven doctors showed up at the hearing.
Dahar said the doctors should benefit the poor patients with their qualifications and experience as the government was spending billions of rupees on the health sector.
“Those who have failed to obey the order may be terminated from their jobs."
Giving a warning to the doctors with a poor performance, he said they would be taken to task.
“Doctors should improve their performance because medical profession is a service to the suffering humanity.”
