Govt ready for talks with estranged Baloch: Dr Malik
Says their demands to be addressed by remaining within Constitution

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch said that the federal and provincial governments are serious in holding talks with those fighting with the state and for this purpose a special Jirga has been sent to London for meeting with Khan of Kalat.
Talking to media persons after offering Eid prayers here Saturday, the chief minister said there had been significant improvement in law and order situation in Balochistan in the last two years. He said that the people were getting their rights while steps had been taken to control corruption. In reply to a question, he said the delegation gone to London included Nawab Mohammad Khan Shahwani, Mir Khalid Lango and Senator Kabir Muhammad. He said the members of the delegation were in touch with Mir Suleman Daud Khan of Kalat and hoped that a way out would be found.
He said that he was ready to contact repeatedly to the estranged Balochs and hoped that they would be persuaded for joining the reconciliation process and the national mainstream. He said all their demands and problems would be addressed by remaining within the ambit of the federation and Constitution.
