ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ambassador at Large and PM’s Special Envoy Javed Malik is leading another seven member investors delegation to Pakistan comprising of European and American companies with a view to set up three 2,000 megawatt power projects in Pakistan, says a press release on Tuesday.
The delegation spent a busy day in Islamabad to meet the regulators and other concerned officials with a view to taking forward the project.
The delegation will also meet Minister of water and power and senior officials at the ministry to give them a detailed presentation of their investment plans to address Pakistan’s energy shortage.
Speaking about the visit Javed Malik said, “We are working hard to reach out to the international business community and encourage them to invest in Pakistan, and this seven member delegation comprises of serious investors who have shown a keen interest in Pakistan’s energy sector.”
The delegation, comprising of senior officials of American Ethane, expressed a serious interest in setting up three 2000 megawatt power projects, they bring latest technology of turbines and have also confirmed their intentions to establish their own terminals and all required infrastructure to execute the project, he added.
