At least five people, including a three-year-old girl, were killed while eight others were injured in separate road accidents on Friday.
Two unidentified men who appeared to be in their 20s died while eight others were injured when a speeding Mazda Coach ran over two motorcyclists and collided with a pillar while driving on the wrong side of the Maripur flyover near Gul Bai area, within the remit of Shershah police station.
The bodies and injured were taken to the Civil Hospital Karachi. According to Shershah SHO Tanveer Shah, the motorcycle riders who passed away were local residents.
Meanwhile, in Banaras, three-year-old Maha Noor, daughter of Moeen, was run over by a vehicle near the Banaras flyover, within the remit of Pirabad police station, while crossing the road with her mother. The deceased was a resident of Data Nagar situated in Orangi Town.
In another incident, a 65-year-old Umar Bakhsh was run over by a speeding vehicle while crossing the Superhighway, within the remit of Gadap police station.
An unidentified young man who appeared to be in his 20s was killed while a 14-year-old Sagheer was injured when their motorcycle was knocked down by a vehicle near the Brooks Chowrangi within the remit of Korangi Industrial Area police station.
