LAHORE: A division bench of the Lahore High Court on Wednesday ordered for production of police record within a week about incident of lynching Christian couple in Kot Radha Kishan.
Bench issued the directions on Wednesday while hearing bail application of kiln owner Malik Yousaf Gujjar.Applicant counsel said that Yousaf was falsely involved in the case. He said applicant had nothing to do with the lynching of couple for any reason, as he was not present there when the incident took place.
He said Yousaf was patient of Hepatitis and his treatment in the jail was not possible. He requested to grant concession of bail to the applicant.According to the prosecution, Sajjad Masih and his wife Shama Bibi, brick kiln workers from Chak-59 of Kot Radha Kishan, Kasur were brutally killed on November 4, 2014 by a mob of over 400 people for allegedly desecrating the Holy Quran. Police had submitted challan of over 50 people in Anti-Terrorism Court.
