CM Syed Murad Ali Shah offered his condolences to Farooq’s father and other family members at their home in Korangi Industrial Area’s Bagh-e-Korangi. He met all the constable’s seven children, of whom three, including a girl, are blind.

Empathising with the children, the chief executive announced then and there that the martyred policeman’s blind children will be enrolled in special schools meant for them. “I will provide proper education and treatment to them wherever possible.”

Shah said that for children, there is no substitute for their father, but “we will try our best to provide you good education, financial support, proper care and a good life”.

The CM said that he would not make any announcement, but “Inshallah you [the constable’s family] will get each and everything. Farooq was a brave policeman who laid down his life, but saved the lives of others. The killer of Shaheed Farooq will be arrested soon”.
