7,000 tons waste dumped during cleanliness week

Rawalpindi : RWMC and Albayrak dumped 7,000 tons waste from Rawalpindi and its tehsils in the Pakistan Zindabad Cleanliness Week, says a press release.

On Pakistan Day, RWMC office and Albayrak workshop had a cake cutting and flag hoisting ceremony. Chairman RWMC, Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi, Ch. Muhammad Ali Randhawa appreciated the efforts of RWMC and Albayrak during the Cleanliness Week whereas door to door and market awareness was disseminated among the general public. In cleanliness week 7,000 tons waste was dumped from Rawalpindi, Taxila, Kallar Syedan and Kahota.

At RWMC office, in accordance of Pakistan Day, Company Sect. Dr. Rizwan Ali Sherdil and other officials hoisted flag and cut cake. On this occasion they made special prayers for country’s progress and prosperity whereas at Albayrak Workshop; General Manager Operations Albayrak, Murat Sengur and Senior Manager RWMC Dr. Hamid Iqbal did cake cutting and flag hoisting of Pakistani and Turkish flags. Slogans of Pak-Turk friendship were raised. Deputy Commissioner Ali Randhawa distributed waste bags and plants among the Civil Defense officers after that he also did plantation activity at Muslim Higher Secondary School, Saidpur Road.
