Rawalpindi: The importance of access to education for every child cannot be over emphasised and its importance is increased to a greater extent in case of children with special needs. The Centre for Profound Education is a non-profit private organisation designed to cater to the special educational needs of children and young adults with varying degrees of learning difficulties. The school was established in 2013 with a mission to support children with special needs in Rawalpindi and its surrounding areas.
The centre was built on an underlying principle that children with special needs who currently remain predominantly marginalised and on the fringes of society ought to have access to the same if not equal opportunities to education.
The Centre for Profound Education with its vision of developing into a centre of excellence is supported academically by Innovative Medical and Development Services, Partnerships in International Medical Education and Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, United Kingdom.
