Robbers gun down teenager

A young man was gunned down in the Korangi Industrial Area police limits on Tuesday. Police officials said two armed men riding a motorcycle attempted to rob 19-year-old Mohsin Rasool near Vita Chowrangi, but when he put up resistance they opened fire on him and escaped.

The injured teenager was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where he died. According to SHO Aurangzeb Khattak, Rasool worked at a local company and hailed from Mirpurkhas.

An empty shell of a .30bore pistol was found on the crime scene, while the police investigators are looking for CCTV footage to get help in identifying the suspects. Man killed by wife’s ex-husband A 45-year-old man was stabbed to death at his house located in Sector 44 of Landhi. Police officials said Ilyas Ishaq was killed by Idrees, ex-husband of his wife.

The deceased was a naib-qasid at a college in the same area and was a father of four children. According to SHO Saadat Butt, Idrees had divorced his wife about 11 years ago. He said the incident took place when Idrees came to Ishaq’s house to meet his ex-wife. Idrees stabbed Ishaq to death after an exchange of hot words. The suspect later managed to escape from the scene. The police have registered a case against the suspect and an investigation is underway.
