BUREWAL: Five members of a family including mother and two children died and two others were injured in a dreadful road accident here on Sunday.
Police said that a carry van with seven people on board was taking a family to a wedding ceremony in Hasilpur was hit by an over speeding passenger bus while trying to save a buffalo which suddenly appeared on Hasipur Road in Burewala.
As a result of collision Shazia Bibi her two sons Anas and Abdul Rehman two close relatives Shahid and Kalsoom died on the spot in the accident while Dawood and Shamim Bibi were critically injured. The bodies and injured people hailing from village 297 EB of Burewala were shifted to hospital for medico legal formalities.
Meanwhile, a case was registered against the driver of the passenger bus and investigation was kicked off.
