Students visit ANF Academy

Islamabad : A delegation of Roots International Schools and Colleges and Metropolitan International United College students visited Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) headquarters to attend an exclusive lecture on the identification and detrimental use of illegal and prescription drugs and their negative impacts on society, says a press release.

Colonel Shafqat warmly welcomed the students and faculty to the academy. Students were given an informative session on adverse effects of drugs and how they can and should stay away from this ill. ANF team gave the session keeping it interactive and ensuring students interest, and knowledge absorption. Session followed a questioning session were students and ANF team engaged in edifying dialogues. Students were also taken on a tour of the ANF headquarters, and showed different operations of various ANF departments and briefed how these departments work in synergy and how the Anti-Narcotics Force is effectively tackling and diminishing the ill from the society.

This initiative was part of the many efforts made by RIS under the leadership of Mr. Walid Mushtaq to educate students and contribute in overcoming the menace of drug from our society. Roots International Schools and Colleges Metropolitan International United College has been at the forefront of the campaign of drug free Islamabad. RIS has adopted a strict anti-drug policy in line with federal law. Moreover, it provides a healthy and recreational environment to students and keeps them engaged in activities which promote physical and mental growth. All year around numerous competitions, conferences and sessions by notable scholars, sportsmen, entrepreneurs, and prominent personalities are conducted to inspire students and guide them through life.

Students found the session to be both enlightening and informative and vowed to become responsible citizens of Pakistan and put an end to this menace in society. Students efforts were hailed by the ANF representatives who commended the students on their responsible efforts. RIS team thanked ANF team for the kind opportunity of visiting their academy.
