Dr Asim rushed to hospital from court over health complications

Former minister for petroleum and natural resources Dr Asim Hussain’s health suddenly deteriorated at an accountability court on Thursday due a low blood pressure, said a press release.

According to his spokesman, Amir Shahzad, due to low blood pressure Dr Asim’s ECG was conducted at the court by Dr Ziauddin Hospital medical staff, who were immediately called to administer emergency medical aid to him.

The ECG report was unsatisfactory and he was instantly shifted to the hospital from the court premises, added the spokesman. Earlier, the accountability court granted him permission to travel abroad for medical treatment. Dr Asim was present at the court for a hearing of one of the cases filed by NAB.
