THE HAGUE: India on Wednesday presented its argument before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in the case of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav, the international media reported.
India's counsel Harish Salve, while arguing, said that having a passport cannot amount to death penalty and if awarded so, then evidence and detailed of the judgment of the military court should be made "available".
"Pakistan has nothing but the confession having a passport doesn't make you party to offenses, participating does," he said, adding, "If they had evidence then Pakistan's 180 minutes would have focussed on Kulbhushan Jadhav's involvement. All they focussed was on the passport." He concluded by asserting that Kulbhushan Jadhav was being used as a pawn for Pakistan. The counsel said that India has never denied nationality of an Indian.
