Charges could not be framed against the four men accused of murdering Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zahra Shahid due to the absence of two suspects, Zahid Abbas Zaid and Rashid alias Master.
The anti-terrorism court concerned had to put off the hearing till June 1.
The two remaining accused, Kaleemullah and Irfan alias Lamba, were presented in court on Friday.
The police claim that the accused are activists of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and were involved in the murder

The court had directed the investigation officer to have him medically examined and submit a report in this regard after the defence lawyer Advocate Muhammad Jiwani told the court that Kaleem had been brutally tortured while in custody.
The defence counsel had also maintained that the charge sheet submitted in court neither mentioned Kaleem’s name as an accused in the relevant column nor as a co-accused.
On the other hand, the legal team of MQM claims that the suspect was picked up on February 25 from his tailoring shop in the Gulf Shopping Mall, from where he was taken to an undisclosed location. They said a case pertaining to his disappearance was also being fixed heard in the Sindh High Court (SHC).
A Rangers spokesperson had announced that an intelligence-based operation near Teen Talwar intersection had been conducted in which a “notorious” target killer identified as Kaleem was arrested. They claimed that he had been involved in numerous murders, including the targeted killing of PTI leader.
