Unidentified gunmen shot dead an activist of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) near his Orangi Town residence on Thursday.
Muhammad Ali, 40, was shot dead, when two armed men riding a motorcycle sprayed bullets on him near his residence in Orangi Town while he was returning back from job on his bike.
The area people took the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities.
Terming the incident a target killing, the Iqbal Market said the deceased was a worker of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Unit-118.
The police have also seized the empty casings of 9MM pistol from the spot.
Body found
The body of a man identified as 70-year-old Samandar Khan was found in an empty plot near a parking plaza on New MA Jinnah Road.
Area people informed the Brigade police who shifted the body to the JPMC for legal formalities.
A MLO said that there were some torture marks on the body and the cause of death was strangulation.
Police said the victim was a watchman at the plot and was most likely killed over an old enmity.
