Accused tortured to death by police
DPO suspends eight policemen

KASUR: Pattoki City police allegedly tortured an accused to death in the police station.
Police had arrested accused Amin in a dacoity case. During interrogation, police allegedly tortured the accused. As a result, he fell unconscious. He died when police were shifting him to a hospital.
Meanwhile, DPO Rai Babar Saeed registered a murder case against SI Nazir Ahmad, ASI Muhammad Akbar and six constables, including Abid Rasheed, Saddam Hussain and Irfan. He also suspended the accused policemen and ordered an inquiry.
