Adverse weather, from rain to frigid temperatures to snow, means you have to protect your feet while you’re outside.
The American Podiatric Medical Association recommends:
Health Tips
* Wear boots that are specific to your activity, such as skiing or snowboarding, and make sure they fit properly.
* Take care when running in icy conditions. Shorten your stride to prevent slipping.
* Sprinkle a little powder inside thick, warm socks and insulated heavy boots to keep them dry and clean.
* When buying children’s footwear such as boots, make sure they fit properly.
