FAISALABAD: A man allegedly killed his niece over a marriage issue at Chak 545/GB on Saturday.
Manzoor Ahmad wanted to arrange the marriage of his niece Noor with his brother-in-law but she refused. It infuriated Manzoor and he allegedly shot her dead. The police have registered a case under Section 302 of the PPC and started investigation.

TRAFFIC POLICE MEETING: During a special drive launched on the orders of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Syed Hasnain Haider, traffic police took action against 2,261 violators of traffic rules.
This was informed during a review meeting of the traffic police held here on Saturday. The meeting was informed that a sum of Rs 1.3 million was realized from the violators as fine by the traffic police during the drive. Speaking on the occasion, the chief traffic officer ordered the traffic policemen not to spare those creating traffic hazards by rash driving and in case of serious offence, their vehicles should be impounded, besides imposing heavy fine on them.
