CHARSADDA: The traders continued protest on the third consecutive day on Wednesday against the worsening law and order situation in the district.
The protesters gathered at the Farooq Azam Chowk. They offer prayers and Sehr and Ifar at the protest camp. The traders had launched the protest against the rising incidents of robberies, snatching and other criminal activities across the district.
Led by trader leaders including Hakimullah Fauji, Bashir Pordil, Lal Muhammad Lal, Habibullah and others chanted slogans against the police. The protesters asked the government to recover looted money from traders.
A few days back robbers deprived a trader of Rs620,000 on the Ghani Khan Road while another trader was deprived of Rs4.6million some two months back. They said the police failed to arrest the criminal or recover the looted money.
