Police on Monday sent the DNA samples of a man accused of repeatedly raping his 15-year-old daughter to a lab for analysis.

Alfalah police station’s investigation officer told The News that Rozina Bibi arrived at the station on Sunday complaining that her husband Sher Bahadur had been subjecting their daughter to sexual assault repeatedly in her absence.

According to Rozina, she was a resident of Gulshan-e-Ahmed, Malir and on Sunday she had gone out in search for a house to rent. When she came back, she found her daughter crying and when Rozina asked her what happened, the teenager replied that her father had raped her.

The girl said that Bahadur had raped her many times when her mother was not at home and she had not told anyone what was happening because she was afraid he would kill her. Rozina added that the neighbours came to their house when they heard her shouting at Bahadur and they helped her bring him to the police station. Police took him into custody and registered an FIR on his wife’s complaint. The IO said police have sent a sample of the suspect for DNA analysis in order to confirm the assault.
