Lal Shahbaz Qalandar Urs Trains, railway stations’ security tightened

LAHORE: Security for trains and stations is tightened on account of annual Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar (RA) on May 1 to 10.

Dr Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, Pakistan Railways Police IG, instructed Shariq Jamal, DIG Railways Police, to issue a notification to all superintendents to ensure safety of passengers. Use of gas cylinders, stoves and any kind of inflammable product is prohibited in trains. Due to expected crowd from May 1 to 10, special trains and coaches will be run from 10 different stations, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Sukkar, Karachi and Sehwan Sharif, etc.

Trains will be checked thoroughly at Dadu and Sehwan Sharif. Security of track has been increased. Emergency medical camps will be operational for 10 days. An announcement regarding security and other important messages will be announced by speakers at Sehwan Sharif station.
