Hajj visa scam

The FIA’s Anti Human Trafficking Circle, Karachi, arrested Mufti Naeem and Rehman Ahmed Qadri of M/s. AL Hashmi Travel, Karachi.

The spokesman for the FIA Sindh said a case was registered against the two on complaints made by 399 intending pilgrims. The accused received millions of rupees from the citizens for arranging Hajj visas by fraudulent means, as they possessed a smaller Hajj quota and were unable to process the visa applications.

After the registration of the case, the accused had obtained protective bail from the Sindh High Court. On Wednesday, their applications were fixed before the court of a judge of District East for the confirmation of their bail. The FIA proved its case before the court for rejection of bail.
