Right of Expression, Assembly, Association & Thought (REAT) Network, condemned the Lahore church attacks and urged the government to take concrete steps to bring to justice the culprits involved in the terror activities, and tackle the growing intolerance in the country on emergency basis to improve the human rights situation.
In a press release, issued here on Monday, the REAT Network National Coordinator Saima Jasam said the issue of protection of the rights of minorities must be given top priority by the government in the light of recent Church attacks in Lahore.
Ms Saima expressed her concern over the prevailing feeling of insecurity among the various minority communities, emphasising that the need for interfaith harmony in the country was greater than ever.
She conveyed her and REAT Network’s condolence to the grieved families of the victims and continued support to the minority groups in the struggle for equal rights.
