Orthopedic Surgeon Dr Zulfiqar Mastoi told the media that seven armed men led by a political figure stormed his private medical centre situated on the hospital road. He said that they ransacked the clinic and also severely tortured him. He said that the attackers used abusive language against the medical centre staff, hurled threats and later managed to flee.

The orthopedic professor said that he had filed report of the incident with the A-Section Police and nominated Inayat Hisbani who was leading the attackers. He said that the attackers were roaming freely and the police had not arrested a single person yet.

Doctors, observing strike at the People’s University Medical Hospital (PUMH) against the incident, closed OPDs and suspended routine operations, which created problems for the patients. On the other hand, the police sources said that the police were conducting raids to apprehend the attackers.
