The Vietnamese eatery which had the honors of hosting the former President Barak Obama and chef Anthony Bourdain two years ago has immortalized the visit by enclosing their table within a glass display.
American chef Anthony Bourdain, in an Instagram post revealed what the spot where he sat with former US President Barak Obama, looks like now. The picture, captioned, “not sure how I feel about this”, showed the table encased in glass with the crockery still in place.
The idea of this preservation had come from one of the customers as revealed by the Hanoi street food restaurant.
Bourdain had revealed that Obama had been extremely skillful with the chopsticks when he treated him to a $6 bun cha meal consisting of grilled pork, rice noodles, herbs, dressing and dipping sauce, at the Bun Cha Huong Lien restaurant.
The owner of the restaurant, Nguyen Thi Hang Nga told BBC: "The customers love it, many take photos next to the table."
The crockery used for the meal of noodles along with the beer bottles were washed before being put inside the glass display.
