Hot, partly cloudy weather forecast

Hot weather with partly cloudy conditions prevailed in the city here on Tuesday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.

The office said westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of the country. It may persist over upper parts during next two days. They predicted partly cloudy weather in most upper and central parts of the country. It further predicted that rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at scattered places in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Fata, Islamabad, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha divisions), Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, while at isolated places in Quetta, Zhob, Lahore, Multan, Sahiwal and DG Khan divisions. Rainfall was recorded at several cities including Malamjabba (97 mm), Kalam (49 mm), Saidu Sharif (38 mm), Pattan (36 mm), Dir (26 mm), Mirkhani (25 mm), Drosh (20 mm), Chitral (18 mm), Parachinar (11 mm), Lower Dir (10 mm), Balakot (03 mm), Astore (25 mm), Gilgit and Chillas (12 mm), Bagrote (07 mm) and Gupis (03 mm).

Tuesday’s lowest minimum temperature was recorded at Skardu and Kalam where it was 01°C while in Lahore maximum temperature reached up to 28°C, minimum was 16.4°C and humidity level was 42 per cent.
