LAHORE: A 50-year-old man was stabbed to death by unidentified persons in the DHA on Wednesday. The victim – identified as Syed Mukhtiar, a resident of Buner – worked in Phase V. He received multiple wounds and was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The motive behind the killing could not be ascertained as yet.
ATTEMPT TO KILL STEPSON: North Cantt police a woman and her paramour for an attempt to kill her stepson. SHO Asad Abbas said the woman identified as Atiya, whose husband was in Italy, tried to kill nine-year-old Muaz, a resident of Al-Faisal Town. She sent Muaz along with her paramour, Khurram, who took him to an overhead bridge on a bike and threw him down.
BODY FOUND: The body of an unidentified 55-year-old man was found near the Pir Makki Darbar. Police said he was a drug addict and died due to excessive use.
