Islamabad
Though chill was in the air, skies were clear and sunny in the federal capital on Monday after continuous heavy showers for two consecutive days.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast cold and dry weather in the city for the next 48 hours like other parts of the country. According to the Met Office, the dry weather is caused by the continental waves prevailing in most parts of the country. It said a shallow westerly wave had moved away in the country’s northeast.
It said that mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country on Tuesday and Wednesday. However, isolated rains with thunderstorm are expected in Hazara division, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The Meteorological Office said the minimum temperature recorded in the federal capital on Monday was four degrees centigrade.
