DUBAI: Megacity Dubai, in its efforts to smash another record, opened gates of the “world’s new tallest hotel” on Sunday.

A city boasting multiple skyscrapers stretched over miles, the new Gevora Hotel in Dubai stands at a towering 1,164 feet. It has 75 floors spread over 356 meters situated at 101 Sheikh Zayed Road, next to the 333-meter Rose Rayhaan by Rotana, that was previously known as the world’s tallest building.

The hotel is expected to serve its first guests today. It has a total of 528 rooms and an open-air pool deck and much to everyone’s surprise it gleams like gold.

According to some, the Gevora Hotel is at least 32 meters taller than the Eiffel Tower.
