An alleged bandit was beaten to death and another injured by members of the public near the Sakhi Hassan Chowrangi in North Nazimabad on Tuesday.
The two were riding a motorcycle when they intercepted a family outside a marriage lawn and told them to hand over all their valuables.
In the meantime, some members of the public caught the bandits — identified by police as Mohammad Riaz and Fahim Raza, both in their 20s — and started thrashing them. However, soon a mobile of the Shahrah-e-Noorjehan police station arrived at the scene and arrested both men in an injured condition. The injured were taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where Raza succumbed to their injuries.
